About the Whole Yaoi-thing

I'll be honest, one thing that bothers me so much is how big the Yaoi is in Hetalia. Really, that's all that fans seem to be talking about. At least the ones that stands out. It gets to the point where Hetalia is mistaken as a Yaoi/BL series, which it is not. I mean, have anyone here ever try explaining to a craze Yaoi fan-girl that Hetalia is NOT a BL series? *sighs*

Hetalia is mostly about friendship, not love. Friendship above all else. I dislike how most fans seem to just make it about BL and arse-sexing.

I'm perhaps one of the rare few who prefer seeing BROS over lovers and thinks that the cast is all straight. Seriously, my England-muse prefers boobs over p***s!

Although, I do admit I like England/Japan (or AsaKiku) together since its adorable fluffy stuff. But they're just BROS in this head. Yes, I also have a Japan-muse...

The whole bl thing is just the fans and the fans alone. The show has nothing to do with it as you said. It does bother me as well, seeing as how the fans try to make it in their own way that drifts away from the original intent. I wonder what the author would think of these bl fans are making.

- Prussia never said "Vital Regions", that was Austria. And fans totally misses the point of the joke. Also, it wasn't even "Vital Regions". "Happy Place" is more accurate translation of the word.
- Vital Regions =/= private part on a person body
- Prussia also never said anything about "5 meters" or whatever either.
- Invasion =/= Sexy Timez
- etc, etc.

It gets annoying after a certain point.


... But I'm glad there are sane fans who dislikes the random insanity as well that SOME crazy fans come up with.

And the worst part is that no one can play the card of "Fan girls ruin everything!" cause it will be generalizing and insulting them, thus making you a hypocrite.
